SYNOPSIS

 

The film by Boubacar Sangaré and Gidéon Vink documents the toppling of the authoritarian regime of Blaise Compaoré after 27 years of undivided rule of Burkina Faso, created by the powers of the street.  UNE REVOLUTION AFRICAINE (…) sketches a picture of the dramatic events in October 2014 and gives voice to the organisers and partakers of the protests

BOUBACAR SANGARE is a Burkinabe director. Amongst his latest films are AU NOM DE
L´AMOUR  (2012) as well as DIEU VEILLE SUR LES VIGILES (2013).

GIDEON VINK lives in Burkina Faso. He is artistical director and program coordinator at the “Ciné Droit Libre” festival of human rights films that takes place in Ouagadougou, Abidjan and Dakar.
